North Carolina Roundtable - Sep 25th, 05, 12:49 PM

Hi everyone, just wanted to let everyone know that the roundtable in N.C. yesterday was awesome! Celeste from Carolina Pro Wash did a wonderful job putting this together. The knowledge walking around up there was unlimited and I know everyone walked away from this learning something. We seen everything from the new Wood Tux Wet in action to the Swabby 48. We also learned about a couple of add on items for your business. Again great roundtable, and a special thanks goes out to Celeste from all who attented.

Thanks for the kudos Wesley and a huge thank you to everyone that turned out! We had over 30 contractors attending. Our vendors that were present were a real treat - thanks go out to Pete & Tracy from SunBrite, Russell Cissell from Extreme Solutions, Wesley Blum from Pure Texture, Bill Clemons from Clean Up America (Swabby 48) and yes, even Steve Rowlett with Rowlett Pressure, graced our presence; and although we missed Bob Williamson with Pressure Tek, he sent wonderful door prizes! The networking and the demonstrations were outstanding! Plans are already in the works for the next one - we had folks from 7 states this time.....wonder if we can top that?

Celeste

PS - Pics are coming!

Here's a couple more - BioMatrix absorbant and Krete Magic application by Steve Rowlett.

BioMatrix is a product that will absorb oil but not water..... For this demo, Steve put water in a cup, added oil (from our motor ) then added the BioMatrix. The cup was then tilted and nothing but clear water came through.

Krete Magic is applied to a dry surface, then broomed over the concrete. This product contains enzymes that continously eat at oil spots.....repeated usage will eliminate even the shadows from oil stains. With the stringent EPA regulations coming down, this is an excellent product to use to avoid reclamation issues!

Celeste,
Great job on the round table meeting. I wish I could've been there. Speaking about that Swabby 48 did they show it in action and if so how did it do?? Also what does one of those machines go for??

John, they did not show it in action but it looks pretty impressive. They go for $35000! Yes that is 3 zeros.

The RT's are always fun, but no one ever bothers to identify the people in the pics.....Who's who?

I have a list of all the attendees but there were so many there and I was trying to watch the demos, take care of the food, keep up with who had packets, herding groups to vendors, etc... that I couldn't correctly put a name to each face in the photo if I tried. We had folks from Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia & Missouri present though and attendees ranged from veteran pressure washers to guys that hadn't even gotten wet yet!

Celeste

PS - I do know that the guy in the yellow rubber pants is Rod and Beth had on her trademark tye-dye shirt

The BBQ and fried chicken were really good too, and the guys often wandered back into the kitchen for the cakes that were put out later in the afternoon. I know Rod was in there a couple of times...

Thank you Russ Cissell from Extremem Solutions and Pete and Tracy from Sunbrite for everything you did. There were two pound sample jars of HD-80, Citralic, and EFC-38 for all the attendees to take. There were small sample cans of the Wood Tux Wet, to take, and sample boards and brushes for all who were there. We had fun playing with wood, stripping products, and applying the Wood Tux wet to wet wood as well as the Wood Tux DMC which was seen for the first time in public that day. Because of Wood Tux Wet's ability to be applied to wet wood, there was also a test done where it was added to water at about 50/50 and shaken up in a clear container. It stayed mixed. The water acted as a thinner, and the Wood Tux was then applied to Teak and Ipe. Pretty cool demo. The deck that was washed was sealed with Wood Tux Wet after a moisture meter reading of over 30% was taken.

All of the various demos were very informative and educational.
