General Liability in NC - Pressure Washing and Contractor Cleaning Forums

We were recently cancelled by our GL carrier - not because we were bad customers or had claims or didn't pay but because our company decided that they didn't want to cover any new construction work!

Because of that, we've been on the hunt for another company and today we hit gold! Anyone in NC (and possibly other states in our region) who is looking for reasonably priced GL, I may have an answer for you!

It's the only way Colony would write the policy. As I don't do any type of new construction work I didn't worry about it. I'm guessing it is because acid is used for mortar smears etc.

Colony is the one that dropped us.....they won't cover any type of new construction for any trade anymore because of too many claims in that area. I've managed to lose the piece of paper with the new company on it (of course, the whole top of my desk is lost at present!) I'll ask my agent in the morning. I was just ticked to get my premium down $1100 annually!

AHA FOUND IT! Tapco is the broker (your agent would need to contact them maybe) The company itself is Western World Insurance Company.

I used to use Tapco last year through my agent and i changed this year and got it for less, I forget the company name I'll get it. I changed agents/companies . When I 1st started with my 1st company everything was reasonable and just started going up & up so I shopped and did well

Shop around its different in many places, just make sure you get proper coverage

I saved a ton on vehicle insurance through Progressive, I have Commercial/Personal, dont need commercial plates and it also covers my wifes car. I saved a ton over $1000 on 2 vehicles
