Thats a tough one. I had to remove stickers from an aluminum box truck once. Had to use mineral spirits. Not much help to you though...

Wet them with hot water to remove the mass of the sticker.
Remove the remaining sticker residue with Goof Off... Then wipe over that with degreaser to take the Goof Off residue. We do a fair bit with stickers on construction cleaning jobs. We apply Goof Off by hand. It is strong stuff, don't breath it in. As for the hot water, be careful how hot and how long you use it, you don't want to damage the vinyl, and hot water can do that.
We are used to removing stickers by hand, this is by-hand advice. Lots of elbow grease.... Beth Log Home Care & Maintenance Cob Blasting Log Homes Pressure Washing Decks House Washing Beth Borrego & Rod Rodriguez Office: 301-540-1243 Germantown, MD * MHIC# 86481 |

I missed that....metal siding....what kind? It's not aluminum...is it? If it is....be very careful not to remove the finish. If it is similar to aluminum siding on a house I would also worry about a shadow. Is this new metal? Older metal? This sounds worse than I understood it to be...ick.

Citro Solv will get the glue from decals off a truck body. Spray it on, let it sit, rinse it off with hi psi hot water. Citro Solv is d'limonene based with some surfactant.

Wall paper remover?
I have taken stickers off my 6 trucks at the bakery we used to own and I used so many different things. mineral sp, gas, stripper, goof off, citri clean, 200% vinegar, just to name a few. The best thing I can say is to expect to be there a while with mineral spirits and a plastic scrapper. Maybe a couple of days, so price accordingly. Call a local screen shop to see what they will charge to take it off. Oh ya stretch your arms they will feel like they are going to fall off. Good luck |

i would use products made for removing vinyl lettering & graphics..
but if the letters have been there for a long time then you will most likly see some "shadows" of the letters..
