The X factor in the Big Easy

After 14 months there are still thousands of spray painted X's on homes and businesses where the search troops marked each dwelling with the date,unit number and if anyone found inside a 3' X. These are on painted clapboards, stucco,bricks ,concrete steps and even on window panes in a wide assortment of colors. I used taginator last year when I frist started pwing homes but took the paint off along with the X so discontinued .As business has leveled off here I've retooled and started to add a Xpert removel to my services using tagaway this time and with sucess.The only way to get rid of this is to paint over it which involves the whole front of the house or porch.Did a job yesterday and got 4 others on one street at $50 a pop, takes about 30min per house w/just a spray bottle and a rag. I'm using a gone by Xmas flyer for marketing.Thought this would be a unique thread. XXXXX Big Easy X Washer

I was down there because I was invited to bid at one of the first schools on Canal St they were rebuilding. That job was too immense for me to even consider based on their expectations.

But I talked to many residents in the neighborhood that had seen my signage.I asked them about the grafitti removal of the X's and nobody seemed interested at the time.

I figured they wanted it looking as bad as possible till they had all their money from insurance in hand.

I'm glad they are removing them. I was afraid they were going to keep them as a "badge of honor". I am down in the city quite often and see progress but it is going slow.

Are you around Carollton and city park? Or closer to the river?

Scott, I'm close to city park in the Mid city area, business is called Mid-City Power Wash to power the locals in the post K world. We have lots of X's in this part of town. Joe B

Yeah I saw your business name when I read your profile last year. That's how I knew mid-city. You still manage a restaraunt?? Which one???

Scott, sorry i've been busy , the restaraunt took a hit after K only with no tourists so I've been Pwing mostly and working special events only. It's called Le Citron in the warehouse district.
