    Pressure Washing Networking Meeting-March 14, 2008

I've reserved a private area at a local place that I hold meetings like this at already in Gaithersburg Maryland. Anyone that would like to attend is welcome but we only have so much room at this place, so if your interested email me at henry@henryshousework.com

This is a copy of the email I sent out to the guys I already meet with and some other contractors I just added today.

You are invited to join a network meeting for pressure washing companies. The purpose of this meeting is to meet other professional pressure washing companies to exchange ideas, and contact information with other contractors in order to become more profitable. We will also be discussing opportunities to work together on larger projects and nationwide commercial accounts.

If you are interested in joining this network, please respond back as soon as possible so you can reserve a seat. The only cost for attending this meeting will be for the lunch you order at the meeting. We only have seating for 35 people available at this location, so let me know as soon as possible if you are interested in attending.

The location of the meeting is at JJ Muldoon’s in Gaithersburg, MD on March 14, 2009 at 12 noon.

Not at all. I'm meeting a bunch of contractors in Orlando Florida on the 27th, then another group of contractors in Maryland on the 15th. I hope you can make the one in Florida, it's a long trip for you to Maryland...

This is just a quick reminder for the network meeting on March 14, 2009. Some of you have asked me what this meeting involves and how much it costs to be involved. First of all, there is no charge for coming to the meeting. But, the restaurant we are meeting at will be serving lunch to everyone, and you will be responsible for paying for your own lunch.

I'm not sure how many people will be attending this meeting yet, but I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I think this is an excellent opportunity for us all to expand our business's through a bad economy, and to take advantage of every opportunity that's out there, no matter what type of service it is. If you know any KEC cleaners, Fleet cleaning companies or any other specialized service company, invite them to the meeting.

    Topics of discussion:

What services and geographical areas does each company provides services in.

Licensing, insurance, workers compensation. Your company must operate legally to be involved in this network!

Opportunities to work together on larger projects.

Bringing in other companies as subs for specialized needs. (Reclaim, High Rise, Cob Blasting, Lift Work Ect)

Joint marketing opportunities to lower advertising costs.

Sharing of trade and organization contacts.

Cross promotion and referrals to other members of the network.

We may be able to get someone from the UAMCC (A new pressure washing organization) to fill us in on what they are doing to promote the industry and other information about the organization.

For directions or more information about JJ Muldoons, email me!

No we have plenty of room. I was able to get us moved to the main dining area so we can have up to 75 people if we want. I think we have about 25-30 people coming now but I'm sure that could change due to weather.

Beth is right, I figure if the weather gets too warm, some people may decide to work instead of work together with others to increase their work load. I know there are a lot of companies out there that are slow but taking a day to network with other companies can be far more valuable in the long run.

How many of you get calls for work in areas you don't go to? How many of you get visitors on your website from all over the country, and you know there's no way your going to travel cross country to wash a house or deck. Networking with other contractors can help everyone involved by passing those jobs on to another contractor.

For those of you that are thinking why would I join a network like this when other companies in my area are a part of it? The answer is because you don't wash it all! Regardless of what we say on our sites we all have certain types of services we love to do more than others. Some guys are into KEC and others only do fleets. I get calls for those services all the time and refer them to other guys in my network. Beth loves cleaning wood, I prefer doing buildings and other commercial work. If I'm busy doing what I prefer why not pass decks on to Beth and other guys that primarily focus on wood?

By working with a network of contractors like this, everyone can focus on what they prefer to do and at the same time pass work on to guys in other areas. This is a win win situation here and everyone is invited to participate.

All you have to do is email me or post on here that you want to be involved. Where you provide services and what services you provide don't matter.

The only requirements are that your company is legal and that you have an open mind. The way I've done this in the past is along the same lines as BNI, it's a givers gain deal. By referring out work you don't want you get work referred back to you. It also gives you a resource of local contractors that you can call for help on jobs or for joint ventures for larger jobs.

I'll explain more at the meeting.

Excellent points...we have been sending leads to other for things we do not do for years, and also posting them here on TGS. Networking works.
