NY Rountable is set for Feb. 20 12-3pm - Jan 19th, 05, 05:47 PM

The Ny Roundtable is set for February 20th from 12-3pm at Industial Equipments Center located in Farmingdale Long Island. This is aprox 45 minutes east of NY City(Manhattan).

I am trying to get a Cabots Rep, A Web designer and maybe a few more Vendors to appear also. This meeting will cost $15 for current PWNA members and $20 for non members. In this fee you will recieve lunch, Drink(Beer and Soda) and a wealth of knowledge. Hope to see alot of you there and if the turn out is big enough then I will look to expand this into a Chapter meeting further down the road.

Stay tune for other details as soon as I get them together.

Whoever is interested please post here.

Thanks

Hey John,

Looks like you have been putting alot of work into this - looks great.

As a person that has attended many round tables and conventions I would like to make a suggestion. Do NOT get to cought up with having venders there pushing (selling) there wares. I think the idea of a "round table" is extremly basic and great in its purist form - a bunch of contractors getting together and sharing what is and is not working for them in there business. I do not believe it should be a venue for a vendor to sell his goods. This type of event is often called a "open house" not a "round table" - in witch case the vendor is picking up the tab.
I'll check my calander and with you closer to the date to see how long your vendor presentations are going to last.

Thanks for the advise Tim. I hoping that the Vendors just do a short presentation each and thats it. The real meassage of this Roundtable is to discuss the PWNA and individual contractor needs.

I hope to see you there. I'll shoot you an e-mail soon.

Tom,

Everything is on schedule. We will have 4 guest speakers with one guy talking about the equipment that he sells and what one needs for the type of cleaning that they do. Another speaker will talk about the Wadu machine and how it can be used for cleaning and covering removers. He will bring this machine and do a demonstration. Another speaker will talk about Cabot stains and Diedrich chemicals since he is a rep for both. There will also be a speaker that will talk about the importants of having a website since he designs them. He is also looking to start a Powerwashing business to complement his Furniture restoration business.

Along with the 20+ who confirmed it should be a blast. I hope you can make it.
