Round table meetings for this industry were first held at PWNA trade shows. A round table discussion is an informal gathering of contractors suppliers and manufacturers. The purpose if to have a free and open discussion. Basically a round table meeting is an opportunity to network.

Several years ago Ron Musgraves along with several other volunteers conceived of the idea of having round table meeting all over the country on or about the same day. The idea was to gather the information exchanged to a central location, compile it into a useful format and then redistribute the condensed information from all meetings back downline to those who participated in each individual meeting.

Today round table events pop up more as an independent effort. They are always light and fun in spirit and the main purpose seems to be fun/learning. The meeting I've attended have all had some pretty decent food as well~

The PWNA in recent years has begun setting up local chapters in different parts of the country. These chapters also make use of the round table format to gather with other members for a free exchange of thoughts and ideas. It is also a great chance for those interested in joining the PWNA to come and witness first hand the benefit of belonging to a professional organization. No price can be put on knowledge!

As for when the next MI roud table will be, I can't say. You may find that you have to travel a bit to catch one. I've traveled over 10 hours to attend only to find folks that have flown in from further away!

I hope that helps.

Best of Luck

Supposedly some mythical king named Aurthur set one up. But we have expanded the concept. No sword play or jousting. Lots of fun and very educational. Find one near by and go.
