Who is from Southern California? - Dec 27th, 04, 08:50 AM

Would be nice to see who from So Cal is here on the bbs. I know of some, but am interested in the ones that are lurking.

Step up and be noticed. Nobody will bite you, at least not very hard.

I live in wildomar, near Temecula/Lake Elsinore.

But you should know something, I don't want to offend you, I am fluent in sign language because I am deaf... and Jon is too. I hope we can work together.

Anyone of you have any questions?

Must be the water in Ca because I am deaf in my right ear and slowly but surely loosing my hearing in the left. I am reading lips at times to try to pick up what people are saying to me.....

Anybody from Northern Ca? I know there are a few in the Sacramento area.

I used to be a firefighter in the late 90's and was diagnosed with Menieres Disease. Because of the disease...I had to call it quits fighting fires and etc. I lost my hearing because of surgery for the disease.

Grant ... my wife tells me that I have "selective" hearing lol. My hearing loss comes in handy on Sundays when I am watching football and she is in the kitchen asking me to take out the garbage. I am sure we have all been through that once or twice.

Anyway, it is good to see you folks in S. CA.

Jon...good to see you back on the boards.

Alan -- any chance we could do a "Spring Roundtable" vs. the one you wanted to do in Nov.? It would be great to meet Craig and Grant.

When the roundtables started, they were in February and October. We can do one whenever we want, it is just a case of getting everyone together.

Does not have to be down here, just a place that will attract the most people. Central would be good to get folks from all over.

I echo your concerns regarding getting folks together. Let me know if there is anything you would like for me to do to get some folks from my neck of the woods to attend a meeting down in S. Ca.

Hi guys,
I am definately a newbie.I like hearing all the advice on the boards.I am a northern Ca operator.I bought an existing business with 20 or so years in the industry.Finding work is a little simpler when you can purchase someones contracts along with the equipment. We concentrate on hood and vent cleaning and other restruant specific tasks. However we have recently ventured into flat work.(customers request). We do not low ball.I am not cheap. We advertise as the highest quality job in town not the cheapest.(i stay away from the wallmart crowd). This is not my fitst business venture,In the past i have found that frugal(cheap) people are the first to nit pick and usually the hardest to collect from.
My company is called American steam co.We are based in Redding Ca.
I would like to hear from any powerwash co.in nor Ca.to exchange ideas and equip.

Robert,

Welcome to the the Grime Scene. Last year our company was in the Yuba City area in a town called Williams for a about a month doing work there. Redding is just to the North, correct? We are headquartered out of Solano county which is approximately a one and half/two hour drive to you.

There has been talk of getting a meeting together with the guys down in S. Ca towards the end of March after the convention. I am going down with my wife and would encourage you to attend also.

I would like to meet with you Robert if at all possible. I am in the Clear Lake/Williams/Sacramento area all next week.....let me know a date and time and we can see if it fits our schedule. Hit us with an email at newlookpowerwash@aol.com to let us know.

Again, welcome to the board and feel free to ask questions!
