It's Hot Out There! -
Jul 24th, 06, 01:25 AM
Hey all,
I know all of us across this great land have been experiencing some hot weather. Just wanted to note that on Friday it was 111, Saturday 115 and today (Sunday 113). Tomorrow forecast 108. Worked all my guys on Friday but gave them the weekend off. Not sure what I am going to do on Monday and if it is even worth sending them out if it is this hot. Sorry, but I just don't feel for ya.... If I can put up with 4 months of blowing snow then you can deal with that. LOL It was 82 and sunny, low humidity today. But being real for a second, be careful out there. Last week hit mid 90's and high humidity and it was like working in an oven, I can't imagine 110 plus wheeeeew. Drink lots of water, and no beer the night before.

I hear you Barry. In this weather I do miss the snow where I grew up (PA).

Barry, I still deal with the snow too...I service Big Bear, CA.....Ski resort town in southern California. I like the hot much better than lines freezing and slipping around on icy roofs. It's pretty nice up there this time of year though....when I get too hot down here, I just schedule work up there

I grew up in northern Wisconsin- seen temps -50F. The last few days here in Palm Springs it's been 118, 120 and 120 again today. I still love the heat over the cold any day of the week. My guys generally work until 11 and then other crews go out at 6. If you can manage the heat it's not so bad.

It seems that all of us have had our fair share of "hot and cold". Bring on the heat baby!!!

We were at 122 degrees for a while on Friday. It wasn't too bad, about 6 pm we got a cool breeze that dropped the temp to about 110. Then it felt like San Diego. It was beautiful...

Carlos....I should be around, the only bad thing is that's my anniversary. My wife and I will have been married 8 years...dang, I feel old now!
I'll pm you with my cell number, and home number, I'd love to meet ya. I would recommend the Best Western though, you could get a jacuzzi room Sorry, I'm a little partial, I worked there for 6 years starting when I was 15. The Ramada is nice though. If you eat at Vicks right outside the door there at the Ramada, tell him he needs his hoods cleaned by pro. I've been trying to get that account for a year now. |

Yea we're into having to take the mid day breaks now out here in the West. Too freakin Africa hot out it was this past week. About had heat stroke with it coming on so sudden like. Actually got scary qweezy feeling while trying to finish up a drive. Yesterday we had some delta breeze so was a tad cooler but the lacquer I was spraying still dried in like less then a couple minutes. One point it started coming out the sprayer in long strings like silly string or cotton candy... Was so dilerious I almost reached out with my finger for a taste..
