Red face Need help with box truck - Mar 23rd, 07, 10:58 AM

Hi To All

I upgraded from my 6x12 trailer to a 16ft NPR Box truck, it has a roll up back door with a curb side door.

My question is does anyone have a box truck if so how does it work with hot water units I have two 5.5 gpm @3500psi do I need a smoke stack or is there a better way to get rid of the heat. Can someone please help me.
If you have pic that would help me with this problem.

thanks

I have the same setup and have had it for a while now and with warm weather upon us i have the ducts made just havent had the time to get up on the roof and cut. Yes it gets hot in there but don't know how hot b/c i have only had it for the winter and if your freezing your butt off jump in there for a few minutes and you will be pulling off layers in no time.

Take you truck unit to a welder type person that does sheet metal work.
We do and the cost is not that much and its done the correct way from the start.

Good luck!

we use water heaters that run off propane.it sits towards the back of the truck and has a vent off the top and the fumes go out the back of the truck.

I have a elbo with a flex tub sitting on top of the burner. The washer is at the back of the truck. I got everything at home depot.

Yeah, your units will probably be mounted towards the rollup door with your water tank mounted near the cab, so as washer4 said, you can easily vent it right out the back. Just don't have the vents too close to the back door or a fire could start.
