The key is no off property discharge. If the water is just draining to the ground, you are good, just wash tehm and call it good. Any booms you set out with this type of thing will do no good anyway.

Another thing to remember is to maintain an adequate ph level if you are not recollecting, it is also necessary to remain compliant. Most chems will be ok, but if you are using somthing "hot" it may require some neutralization.

Folks, I have a similar question to AJ's. I have moving company who is interested in us cleaning their fleet and we will have to clean the vehicles while on blacktop about the size of a football field with two or three drains. Does anyone have any input on how we could about recovering in this scenario? I like to Macgyver (sp) solutions that work when I can, but I know if my own solution does not work it could lead to a stiff penalty and do not really want to take any chances on uncertainty. Any thoughts on good ways to go about recovering in this scenario? Thanks

Where do the drains drain to? They might drain to an on-site detention pond instead of a sewer which would make your job a lot easier...You may have to do some legwork to see what options you may have.

Drain inserts would be your best bet, least amount of problems.
