Truck finally logo'ed and lettered... - May 2nd, 07, 07:16 PM

Only took about 5 weeks and a lot of graphics work.

Rear doors.

Passenger (right) side.

Driver's side (left).

Closeup drivers side

A big THANK YOU to Keith at KBK GraphiX for all the pain and suffering in getting my logo colors right. Please, anyone, give KBK GraphiX an try. They do great work at a more than reasonable price and do not give up until it is right.

Keith is the best. The sign company did not have a clue. Logo was done years ago by a graphic designer that happened to have a huge mahogany deck. The original logo was for business cards and letterhead, not the scale of the sides of the truck.

Original designer was "busy" and I think out of his league. Called Keith, sent him the original files, and he was off to the races. The friggin' sign company could not get the wood logo colors right, and Keith just kept on it, sending them color differences, unitil the logos finally printed out near perfect.

KBK GraphX is a keeper. Keith and company, as well as ACR Products, Hydrotek, and Ready Seal, keep me in business. Its tough out here and little guys like me need all the help we can muster.

John,

It was early March, not wood season. Shopped and looked around for a creditable shop. Settled on a franchise, Sign-A-Rama, that all done and finished, guess that I am satisfied. By far not the cheapest, but what do we sell our customers? Call or email if you want details.

Kevin,

I own half interest in Ready Seal. Hah! Nothing could be further from the truth.
Peirce pays me off in hundreds when we meet in the dark of night under some bridge that I can never find!

Look, my business is near synonymous with Ready Seal. I pay for stain from a distributor like anyone else. Diamond Jim and I are certified contractors. We have paid our dues. Ready Seal is my small business. And yes, Texas knows about the logo on my truck.

Well you give Peirce a good word for me and tell him thank you for my samples... oh and also that I have great desire to put my name in the dealer/contractor section of the brochures he sent.

Ant,

Saved a post from years ago off another board. It was written by a sign shop guy that had been in business for 30 years. In short, he said vehicle lettering and logo's are probably the most cost effective advertising one can make.

I'll see, as I do not advertise and my business phone is unlisted.

Kevin,

RS is like Carlos Castenada. Play with it for awhile and get back to TGS. Not yet a cult, but has a whole lot of contractors. Not the holy grail, but as close as you will find today.
