SO Soft vs. Rinse Aid - May 12th, 07, 12:30 AM

Has anyone used these products? The first is a water softener and the second reduces surface tension. Both are designed to produce a virtual spot free rinse at a fraction of the cost of DI.

If you've used one or both please tell me of your experiences and preferences. I will need one of them for an upcoming job.

Thanks

GO with soft water all the way. I used to own a truck wash and I can tell you right now that rinse aids don't hold a candle to soft water. I use a portable exchange softener from Culligan. I can wash a black car in direct sunlight in 80* weather without any spotting or drying. It is inexpensive and higly effective. If you have any other questions about chemicals give me a call. Thanks,
Daniel

I'm going to call tomorrow to talk with you a little more. I just sent Culligan an email to ask for more info. I'd like to chat with you before hand though.

Thanks Mat.
