Aside from fleet washing, even doing your own vehicles is more about what your starting with and how often your maintenance schedule is...Doing a tad more often helps me heaps as far as time and end result on my own cars. Sorry can't tell you brand I used last as I emptied the fiver into a couple gal jugs after a bit of use. Think it was called 'touchfree car wash' but who made it I don't know. It sure does downstream well and does same as yer after in way of a full service product. Lasting forever too..was an ebay item actually so maybe they sell on there all time..
Personally I start my vehicles off right though before using anything in the way of optical brighteners. I remove oxidation and machine polish with the Mcguires Deep Crystal. From there on in stuff just rolls off when washing with anything and then every so often you remelt the polish with the 2-butoxi type cleaners or add more polish... If you go with them fancier newer polishes with all the fancy additives or silicone stuff you never know if the remelt or new polish will work is my feeling. I'll stick with carnauba wax. I doubut two stepping would be an appropriate washing techinque in your case I would just us an alum brightner on the tans and rails as necessary
Bond breaker would be the best product we have it has the rinse agents and gloss enhancers and will give you your best "brushless" clean. This product will perform like the more agressive products on the market, but only to the dirt, while still being caustic free. With the addition of the gloss enhancers each time you wash it gets a little easier.(unless you start covering it with tar or somthing) Envirospec North/Mobi Clean Inc. www.envirospecnorth.com Your source for pressure washer parts, pressure washer supplies and pressure washer technical support. 877-351-1238 |

Put all your time and efforts that it takes to wash your personnel vehicle back into your business. Spend the $5 to $10 and go to the local automatic car wash.
We have 4 washing units all mounted in box type trucks and cargo vans plus my pick up truck. All my units get washed a the local car wash because we are not geared up for washing vehicles. The car wash is there for what that do best "wash cars" etc. Our units are set up for houses, decks, industrial, flat work, etc. We may use our wash units on our vehicles at the shop, but they always leave bad hard water spots, at the car wash we get a nice quality clean wash job that looks good for a few days or so. This is just our method, and I not sure of your reasons which it may be better for you another way than what we do. good luck Illinois-Wisconsin-Indiana Iowa-Minnesota-Michigan 800-804-7517 www.MIDWESTMOBILEWASHERS.com |

Wow, I guess I have just the opposite opinion of Anthony here. Maybe it's because we're set up to clean vehicles, but I can do a FAR BETTER JOB using our equipment to clean our trucks. I mean it's not even close! Going to a car wash has been a waste of money. I forget how good a job it does on my personal vehicles that I get angry every time I'm out of town and want to wash my truck because dirt is left on the truck and I spentenough money on it that it should be clean. That also explains why every employee of ours would rather use our in-house wash bay rather than wasting their money on the car wash. It gets the brake dust off without scrubbing, it gets the bugs off without scrubbing, it actually shines when you're done washing it. Most of the time I just wash it and drive away without toweling it off and it still looks great with very few spots around the mirrors when I get home, and if I do spend the time drying it, it's flawless.
