There are various levels of "clean". I have cleaned them before. Not hard after the setup. Some simply wash, others maintain as well. I.E. oil the wheels, spot weld , or repair the carts.
What is it that you want to know other than is anyone experienced? Rates, contracts, service level, time involved. I have seen post' like yours, and remember that others have chimed in. Others have designed actual cart wash portable bays. Like a drive through car wash. Yet others have actually started side businesses of rechromeing and repairs where they actually pick up the carts on location and take them to a repair warehouse and return them after repairs are made. Either way it is just another example of how PWing can be applied to your list of services. Pressure Washing Kingwood, Deck Cleaning Kingwood, Deck Staining Kingwood Adrian B. Since they called, they're probably not expecting to have them cleaned for free. That being said, they're probably looking for a more detailed cleaning. I to will wash the carts off, sometimes even add a little soap. This is just to get a lot of the dust off. (I mostly clean only to the carts that pretty much always stay on the concrete, because if I were to clean ALL the carts, it could cause a slip hazard as the wet carts enter the store and drip everywhere) However, If the store wanted to pay for it, I know I could get the carts a lot cleaner if I spent more time on them, possibly one at a time. I'd much rather just clean concrete though, so I don't push it.

Its for a military commissary and they only use the credit card which right now I don't accept. So I really didn't go into what all they wanted done. But for the future I thought i'd see who does it, what usually needs done, what method of cleaning is used, chems etc. I guess too it would be different for plastic or metal carts in which case they are metal.

I just put in a bid to a grocery store for 150 metal carts at $2 per/cart and 150 plastic carry baskets at .75 per/basket with chems once a month. Carts must be done after 11 pm at night in NYC. I will let you know if I get the job.

My whole food acount wants 125 green carts and 75 gray carts cleaned in 2 weeks.I quoted them $ 2 for the green, 1.25 for the gray. Will line them over the drain in the garage and wash/rainse-away.

I just hit the metal ones all stacked at $.50 per lin. row. So a couple row 30' cart is a $30 add-on...Heat with no chem usually suffices to melt off the stickers. They may not be actually totally disinfected but I billing for a simple rinse off while cleaning the crete rather than a dedicated cart cleaning service. Am not worried about them getting wet cause as for one it rains on carts and they brung in by customers as such all the time. When they stacked there is no standing water situation on the seats so they dry way before morning. Part my goal in hitting them is so they don't leak junk down on my crete from the steam misting around them and I also want the wheels clean for rolling over on clean section and mainly to prevent wear on the inside flooring that I also service.
