pricing 40 tractors/trailers weekly - Apr 10th, 08, 07:27 PM

Trailers 48' need interior and exterior washed Tractors are city cabs white

Please do not respond if you arent familiar with washing trucks and truck prices.

Does $50 per cab $150 per trailer sound unreasonable?

That sounds reasonable, except the interiors should be $15 as well. Actually, with the way fuel has been going it is almost a bit light, but you can make a living at those prices with that many.

Sounds look like a good deal for you if you get it. Prices are where they should be.
A couple guys two machines and you'll fly through them.

I agree with Scott. The prices of everything is going up, from fuel prices to chemical prices to insurance to labor to etc. We can't continue to give washes away. I hope you get the work!!

Your pricing is at a good rate. Are you going to two step, brushing or brushless soap. Think about drive time, like everyone has mentioned the cost of fuel is crazy and alot of the companys understand if you have a fuel surcharge because alot of the big co. have a charge themselves. Do you have reclaim your wastewater, if not sure find out. You don't want that fine on your back.

Most guys around here charge at least $35 for a day cab. I charge 40 and 65 for an in and out on a trailer. I don't see how you could make any money doing them for $15 each unless you wre only rinsing them off.

The way it's done is "Quantity!". You also have to remember, the guys in Arkansas aren't affected by the weather like our friends in B.C. and things generally don't get as dirty as the do in northern climates. How many days are you shut down due to weather up there, Jakeman?

I wouldn't say that the area is that bad off. It sounds more like it actually has multiple vendors competing for the washing in the area, and with that, your prices have to come down and you have to find ways to speed up your washing processes or you starve.

Sounds low to me also! - Apr 13th, 08, 10:24 PM

I get $20 for a cab and $33 for a trailer. I do approximately 15 every other weekend. I also get $50 for a forty foot box truck.

Yes the trucks up here do get pretty dirty and we do have to shut down because of weather sometimes but as long as the temp. is above freezing we will wash. Most of our trucks are done on weekends and I would say we lost at least 5 or 6 weekends this winter.
