I've never seen this happen before. I guess the question is what process caused the adherence, and do you mind messing up the paint or sign?
Post some pics, what have you tried so far? Will a low pressure tip on the pwer get a corner loose without messing things up? Maybe a plastic scraper and a shot of some mild solvent? Maybe you could warm it up with a hot water wash, and then use ice or dry ice to pop it off. I'm getting out there now. ![]() Just park next to some three year olds, and tell them to leave the sign alone. It should be gone in an hour. They will bake on. When we used mags I would wax very heavily the area the mag was going to give my paint a bit more protection.

Hair dryer? Maybe if you heat it up it will soften up and release.

I will try the wd40, hair dryer (or heat gun) and a plastic scraper all tomorrow. Hopefully together they may work. Here are the photosas well.

Maybe try sticking another magnet to it??? I use 2 magnets together to put plastic up on a hood sometimes and they stick together....I don't know it's worth a shot I guess.

I got em off. I scraped them with a metal scraper (The plastic ones didn't work) then cleaned the residue off with goof-off 2. It removed the gray metal marks from the scraper as well. I am sure it took off some clear coat as well. Thanks for the help everyone.

Glad to hear it worked out for you.
Is it fair to say that we should remove our magnetic signs now and again? Or did they bake on in a matter of days? StainlessDeal Mobile Pressure Wash, Omaha NE 68114 (402) 670-4214 or scott@stainlessdeal.com There is no space for dirt in "StainlessDeal" www.stainlessdeal.com www.uamcc.org |

I purchased this van from a friend and he said it was 2 years that they were on. The sign companies recommend removing them weekly for cleaning. I am sure that they say weekly as overkill to remove their liability. I bet monthly would be fine.
