Just from washing our own vehicles I think I can feel safe saying that nozzles alone aren't going to be the answer. I think most will refer you to a specific chemical to help do the job along with brushing.

15 Degree is a good choice it will give you a good impact zone while still providing an adequate cleaning area. It works better in windy conditions than a 25 or 40 so you can get the distance and when working between trailers it also helps to eliminate the cut marks you get from a wider spray pattern.

With the bugs you want to pre soak them as much as possible to soften them up. Just soap the buggy areas then finish soaping what you can wash before it dries and finish by re soaping the buggy areas. Then when you go to high pressure use the soap that is in the line over the worst areas first(when downstreaming). When the water starts coming out rinse the areas that aren't as bad first then hit the buggy areas last giving them the most soak time, making sure the soap remains wet and does not dry on the surface.

Turbo nozzle...

OKay, maybe not. We use a 25 degree tip. If it is bad, we presoak it with a stronger soap solution through a pump up sprayer.

I use Bug Off from Malco Car Care Products. Spray on let it dwell for about 2-5 min and rinses right off with a 40 deg. Go to Malco.com

We use the same nozzles for everything. Has anyone tried the ceramic nozzles that I've seen advertised? Pros/Cons?

PS: It could be just me, but I've always been amazed at how pressure washing has kept Scotty Stone so young looking as can be seen on his Avatar. I wish it would work that well for me!

I have question what is size orifice using clean fleet with. I would think you could damage the paint if you use the wrong size.

For fleets it is common to use between 1500-2500 psi, more than that is not necessary. All the higher pressure will do is strip off the paint. Use the nozzle chart to find your correct tip size. Go across the top to the pressure you want to achieve (not higher that the pumps rating) and go down the column until you reach the flow capacity of your machine. Then follow the column to the left to get your nozzle size.

For fleet work you really want 5 gpm minimum, 4 gpm will work but it takes a lot longer and time is money.
