a dirty bus.These are pics of a small fleet of buses that we washed today.We wash 9 of them on a regular basis,but these are in a different location so the manager/dispatcher doesnt get them cleaned like they should be.2 of our regular buses were at this location today so the owner had us do all that were there.

That was just pics of the back.I hate when they get that dirty,nothing worse than trying to get them clean in 98 degree with 85% humidity.Soap doesn't stay wet long under those conditions.Look who I'm telling,you have forgotten more about truck washing in the heat than I know.

That is just dirt.These buses haven't been cleaned in several months.The buses we do monthly are a walk in the park compared to these and they get pretty dirty.

OH,Mr. Stone............

What can I use on these fiberglass buses to get them really clean.We have been having a hard time with black spots and a film on the backs of them for a while now.
Is 2 stepping something I need to consider on fiberglass?The windows are plexiglass on these and I'm afraid the aacid will etch them,as well as,the gel coat.

The good news is they are starting to pull the old ones out of service and the new ones are an easy wash.

The fiber glass is really porous and needs to be sealed. Really, you can get them clean but it will possibly damage the gel coat. I would sell them on a detail. If they are under federal contract, they are supposed to have them detailed from time to time. It is a pretty easy detail, I just wash them really good then use PWC on them. If they are really nasty, you might need to use a bit of buffing compound on them.

Yep,they are a federally funded contract.I was beginning to think we weren't doing something right.
The gel coat is pretty well shot on these already.

We have had problems with the black streaks in the past. It led me to a product called reliable, which is made for cleaning rvs. It is a butyl based cleaner and is now what we use for both aluminum rvs, fiberglass rvs, and of course gutters.

Tell me about "reliable" for use on gutters? Where do you get it? & does it really work well (meaning no scrubbing!) & is it very expensive? Am looking for a really good strong-one step- gutter cleaner. Thanks.Jimbo

Check out SunBrite, they have gutter shock, it pretty good but there is always that gutter that will not act right.
