Depending on the chemicals you run they can last as long a several years. If you are running acid through them you will usually get about 3-6 months, sometimes longer if you 2 step because the soap will neutralize the acid in the lines.

We use M-5's. 1 is four years old, 2 are three years old and all work just as good now as when new. We don't downstream from the pump anymore because of the problems it can cause with the lining inside the hose. We use caustic and bleach based products for house washing which by nature break down petroleum based products such as the rubber lining and the bleach corrodes the wire in the hose. We save a great deal on hoses this way by just injecting at the gun.
When I need low pressure injection, we have an injector with quick connects I can hook up at the gun (usually for an extend-a-wand) to get chems applied to high reach areas. I have always downstreamed and have never had a problem with it messing up my hoses. Usually mine will wear the cover down to the wires before they go bad. I tried the x-jet and it has it place, but to me downstreaming is the quickest way. Cooper Exterior Cleaning Co. 731-286-6058 731-445-4923 |
