Garbage haulers - Mar 11th, 07, 03:06 AM

These trucks have not been washed in over a year. They were used to haul garbage to landfills. Needless to say we are getting a little extra to clean these, LOL. They want them as clean as we can get them. There is no water on site or a close fire hydrant. There are 100 in all, we have cleaned 60 of them so far. More are due in this week.

We downstreamed our Orange Nitro on them straight and applied Ultra Brite to the tanks and wheels.

Here is before, they are a lot dirtier than they look in these pics. It takes about 200- 250 gallons of water to wash one of them. They have us cleaning everything we can get to without laying on the ground and crawling up under them. They would have us doing that if we would do it. HAHA

And here is after. We have cleaned thousands of trucks in the last 7 years, but these are probably the dirtiest we have ever cleaned. The company that owns them is a regular customer, they have about 125-150 over the road trucks we clean. They got into garbage hauling in a couple of other states last year and decided they couldn't make enough money, and they are now wanting to sell all these trucks. They were brand new 1 year ago. Most of them have never been washed since new. Talk about a PITA to clean.

Thats one hell of a job. I jhave yet to see tanks and wheels in that bad of neglect. I bet it took some strong acid to bring them back, At least they didnt want you to maintain the polish on the tanks and wheelsLOL
