I would suggest invest in a ladder rack. I have a 32' fiberglass one.....it is heavvyyy.

you could find a local welder in your area to fabricate a rack or there are some commercial set ups out there. Finding a welder is probably cheapest route and you could have something custom made. Just my .02 cents

I have a custom ladder rack (welded for me) made from 2"x1 1/2" rectangular steel pipe. Works great - have additional welds to hold my high pressure reel and low pressure reel from the ladder rack. I was carrying a 40' aluminum ladder on it, no problem. The truck is an F150 (with a longbed, though).
