Rig reconfigured - Mar 29th, 07, 03:33 PM

I took some shots of my rig for insurance purposes, so I thought I'd put 'em up here in the scrap book. It's raining here today and I've been in cranking out estimates in QB all morning. Need a break! This new configuration is very efficient and works real well for a two man crew. Hours of thought and improvement over last year's layout.

Mainly, I added another machine, set of reels, and larger tank. I thought not being able to walk through from rear door to front would be an inconvenience, but it's not. Last season all chem mixing was done outside the rear at the 1" water/dump line. I wanted to pull all that inside this year to keep a tidier look while on site. All powdered chems are in cabinet. I QC'd my supply line going into the top of the tank and added a ball valve. When I need water, I hit the ball valve, disconnect and fill whatever. Last year my fill line was gravity and slower. Now it's pressurized from house/supply side. Trailer pulls much better this year as it's lighter on the tongue. You can't see my surfacer but it's mounted flush to the roof. Two machines ROCK!

Jeff,

Woodies don't use hose reels. We use a garden hose and facet pressure with a Home Depot thing a ma jig and other common stuff. Like 'friggin scrubbing wood on hands and knees like slaves of old. We are a bit behind all this high tech pressure washing stuff.

Neil,

Sorry. The post was stupid and a bit "tongue in cheek". But the few contractors that only deal with wood do not need or understand a lot of this pressure washing stuff. Just ignore my posts. Promise to refrain from things I do not understand.

Nice job Neil. You just running cold water? Just curious.
Let me ask you this: Do you ever lose any of the stuff on the hangers or racks in transit? Reason I ask is because I am considering different options and so far have been using mounted tension clips for hanging items on the walls.

Rod!~

Rod we have tons of hooks in my enclosed and dont lose anything. I do have them made by local welder and make sure there is a big hook so the stuff doesnt fall off. Hooks just give you so much more room to work with. I'm hooked on hooks

Jeff,

You are from Massachusetts. Talk about old, jeeze the friggin' Mayflower landed there.

Point was that wood does not require a bunch of equipment, only minimal hardware and some knowledge and experience. But you abhor wood so you are excused. Good for you, my salutes, you know your stuff. That is admirable.
