About the Cobbler's shoes? Here is the condition of my own deck. I bought this home a year ago in June, and haven't fixed this until now. Shakes and deck had unknown products on them, totally failed, lichens and mildew, bad uv damage, abrasion, just worn.

Thought this was mostly a pine deck. Liked the design, hated the finish.

Wanted a challenge, got one! Decided to do something unusual. Ready-Seal Natural Ceadar on the one-by balusters and the 2x4's quadrasecting the deck. Dark Red on the rails and 1/2 of the deck, Dark Brown on the other half.
The lattice is Natural Cedar, the frame is Dark Brown. StainlessDeal Mobile Pressure Wash, Omaha NE 68114 (402) 670-4214 or scott@stainlessdeal.com There is no space for dirt in "StainlessDeal" www.stainlessdeal.com www.uamcc.org |

Shakes Improving: -

Didn't want to tear these all down and replace them just yet, so I experimented with the BDA method. It helped, but the old finish still required stripping and brightning.
I didn't get a good after of the post BDA Method. StainlessDeal Mobile Pressure Wash, Omaha NE 68114 (402) 670-4214 or scott@stainlessdeal.com There is no space for dirt in "StainlessDeal" www.stainlessdeal.com www.uamcc.org |

Kewl Floor! -

My wife loves the floor. I do too, but I need to work on one corner, the Dark Brown got rained on about an hour after the initial application, before I cut-in the masked area. Then the weather continued to suck for days before I could get back to it.
It seems to have made an absorption differntial that shows. I wish I had photographed the interim look. It was blotchy and light with spots of pigment. That is the lighter area in the photos. These pics are the stairs from above. Thanks, Ken! The whole thing turned out to be cedar. That's the norm around here, the existing finish is still unknown, but required only a modicum of stripping after a BDA lichen-removal.
Used my trusty backpack and back-rolled. A lot of brushwork on the cracks and detail areas. Minor felt here and there and some remnant sealer was removed with 60 grit and dental equipment. LOL Another floor pic (my pride shows) and a photo of me in 100 degree heat and the resultant ppe. ![]() StainlessDeal Mobile Pressure Wash, Omaha NE 68114 (402) 670-4214 or scott@stainlessdeal.com There is no space for dirt in "StainlessDeal" www.stainlessdeal.com www.uamcc.org |
