Hugh that PVC idea is a good one. How did u anchor to those doors. IF possible could you get a closer shot of that. I may do the same with my side trailer door. I like the way it looks on yours alot.

Thanks

Talking Trailer Photos - Sep 12th, 06, 10:09 AM

John here are some close up Photos. I used 2-inch PVC, added a coupler at the top to stop any sliding down. PVC brackets with 3/4-inch screws, I used metal you could use wood. I have enough clearance that it doesn't effect the outside skin at all. I also installed clamps for holding my Phelps Wand. One suggestion though, I realized the gun handles move in transcent so I put small clamps (any type) at the top of the wand holder to take up any extra space between the gun handle and holder. Seems to do ok! Hugh

Trailer Photos - Sep 12th, 06, 10:13 AM

John I was thinking about mounting them on my side door, but realized I couldn't get them on because space was to small so I decided to use the rear door. Even with my hose rack in the back I have plenty of room there. Hugh

The back of my trailer is a ramp door and the side door is 4 ft wide. So I'm leaning towards using the side door to mount some of my wands. I really like that PVC set-up. So I'm guessing where they sell PVC pipe they also have those PVC clamps there.

John I got mine at a regular pumbing store. You can get everything at Home Depot or Lowes or even Ace Hardware stores. Don't forget when you get the 2-inch pipe and coupler that you use PVC Glue to firmly attach the coupler to the pipe. Also I had my pipes cut in 2-foot lenghts which work well. Very easy to install and will work well for me! Hugh

Thanks Hugh. I'm getting some nice idea's looking at your trailer.

Here's a couple of pictures of my trailer after I painted the non skid on the surface floor. Line X wanted $800 to do this. I went to Pep Boys and bought a similiar product and rolled it on. It only cost me $100 to do this. This trailer is just about done and will be used this week to knock out a few buildings and some houses and decks. I'll start a new thread on my trailer once I get enough pictures of it together.

Talking Trailer - Sep 13th, 06, 09:01 AM

John looks good! I had the mmoney at the time to get it sprayed by a local guy using the same product. Because the walls are plywood I had the floor and walls 3-feet up including the doors sprayed, it cost me $450. For a 7'X14' trailer that was a good deal, another company wanted $800. I look forward to seeing your finished trailer. Hugh
