Steve I've really been aggressive with the pressure washing side of my business for a year now and it's finally starting to pay off. The phone has been crazy this past week, and I've gotten some nice jobs lined up. If you ever get too backed up give me a call, I'm not all that far from ya. By the way, that's a super nice rig.

Steve,
I too have an 8 gpm rig with a 300 gal tank. Generally, I am hooked-up to a water source while cleaning, but sometimes, what you bring is all you've got. I have found that by installing a quick connect downstream injector (I have three different sizes 1.8, 2.1 and 2.3) I can change the gpm output very easily. Same psi, just lower flow. |

John i also reduced the water flow with different tips i use .I was expermiting with the machine saturday.Dont know what size water inlet you have on your machine ,mine is one inch.Put the fire hose to it off a hydrant.I did put a 2 filters in the line to the machine from the tank.Them hydrants do have dirty water .I like the water flow it puts out.Job gets done faster.Gonna hook up a double hose kit today. Most of my water used is fer the rinse a lot of it its quick.

im gonna give them water fer sure. And do the job faster then a 5 gpm.Commercial work is okay, but i still like my woody stuff.Still have to use my little machine fer the wood stuff.Just out of habit.Cant wait till the wood starts opening up for me.Ive got 15 decks on the list so far,And not even started the season yet.I guess people are letting some money go after seeing their decks need some attention. But i still have my maitance contracts for reseal .If things keep up like this im gonna have to put 2 guys on the payroll.Usually its me and a helper. Its hard to let good money go .So im back in with the rest of yall .I see a good season coming forth.

Yes, the excess water is automatically re-routed to the tank, so that when cleaning with 5 gpm, 3 is bypassing.
I'm not that it matters, but I also using a flow-type unloader. When setting this up, I was assured that it wouldn't work, but it does. The only kick is when starting a second gun - and even then it is less than a "normal" unloader. |
