Wild Fires in California - Oct 27th, 07, 07:43 AM

It has been all over the news about the fires raging out in california.
Has this affected anyone on TGS or any relatives?
We hope all is well.
Carlos, any news from the front?

Rod!~

All the fire department strike teams that participated from our county are still down there. From what I hear on the news, there are still some aggressive fires burning out of control.

I think Craig and Alan are all okay as I see them on TGS frequently. Matt chimed in the other day and said it was pretty smokey where he was at but otherwise okay.

Other than air quality issues, my area is fine. We got hit back in 03, but this time it has stayed farther out.
All that ash is like an oil absorbing powder and has done a fine job.

We've had smudgy gray skies but little smoke smell but pretty purple sunsets.

Rain yesterday.

Seems all the problem for those unfortunate folks is far south of us.
