Google FYI - Nov 30th, 07, 12:35 PM

In doing further research today, I googled "water restrictions NC SC". Within the first page, I found two link to posts I had made (one on pressurenet.net and one on TGS ) Whether those particular posts (PWNC announcement) can be perceived as good or bad, I'm not certain of yet. What I do know is that anyone that is experiencing water restrictions in their state - if your post in any way presents a solution or anything that can be read by a layperson and interpreted as "it's okay to keep these people in business"......use good keywords in your posts so they get found! I know I'm not the only person that is reading about restrictions - there have to be homeowners and lawmakers googling to keep up with the news.

While that was one point I was making, the other was that we should all continue making posts about the current issues and how our industry can help in alleviating misinformation that is out there (ie - all of us are prohibited from cleaning) but using appropriate "keywords" to do so

I think we are all in agreement that eliminating the ability to get water will certainly put alot of washers in a bind. As of today, nobody has been told that they can't wash and let's hope it stays that way!

I beg to differ Carlos.....there are a number of counties in North Carolina that have put the brakes on certain cleaning (housewashing, deck cleaning, any residential washing that is for aesthetic purposes, even new construction in some areas). South Carolina is tilting the same way. Only certain washing is still taking place. Coupled with the limited type of washing that can be done, since the "powers that be" have announced that washing is prohibited, consumers are not making calls. Concessions that have been made by officials are NOT being publicized - that damage has been done and no effort is being made to let people know that it is permissible to call a professional for certain things.

I stand corrected Celeste as I was informed that GA had only those "restrictions" in place....

I am glad that the situation down south is at least on the minds of folks in the industry and the problem is a little more severe than what we all first thought.

I thank you for your input as you and others are in some interesting times down there.

More information to come about the parameters of the relief fund but I will mention that if the industry feels that educating along with it's original intent is the way to go then it is prudent that we all explore this as one voice!
