"Relief For Washers" Proclamation

PROCLAMATION

Whereas, Pressure Washing Contractors across the Southeastern Region of the United States have been plagued by the ongoing water shortage and water restrictions associated with the past, current and future drought problems; and

Whereas, there is an immediate threat that water restriction will prohibit Pressuring Washing Contractors the ability to continue to operate their respected businesses under these conditions in the foreseeable future; and

Whereas, Pressure Washing Contractors, Manufactures and Vendors across the United States recognize the immediate threat to this region and voluntarily support their fellow Pressure Washing Contractor in the affected region by establishing a relief fund “Relief For Washers” on this day, November 30th the year of 2007; and

Whereas, relief will not occur overnight, our patience and continued education of alternate means of pressure washing and commitment to help out as a Pressure Washing Industry are keen; and

Whereas, the “Relief For Washers” fund was chosen as a symbol of unity, concern and perseverance in the pressure washing industry across the United States of America; and

Whereas, the “Relief for Washers” fund will be established by Carlos Gonzales, a representative of the pressure washing industry for the sole purpose of providing nominal financial relief to creditable pressure washers located in the Southeastern Region of the United States of America and;

Whereas, November 30th 2007 through April 30th 2008, has been designated as “Relief for Washers”. We call on all individuals, manufactures and sponsors in the pressure washing industry to show their support to their fellow power washers by making a financial donation during this time;

Now Therefore. Being a representative of the Pressure Washing Industry and one of many that are concerned, the “Relief For Washers” Fund is established.


Donations can be made as of today, Novemeber 30th.

Besides the original intent of the fund there has been many suggestions and considerations being made as to how it would be best used to serve the industry.

Educating the consumer appears to be the common denominator in all my discussions with folks that have brought suggestions/recommendations to the table.

As I said before, the Relief For Washers fund will be used for whatever is logically and prudent for our industry.

Keep the ideas/suggestions coming and of course the DONATIONS!!

Update on Relief For Washers ~

Over the holiday period progress came to a crawl as we all attempted to spend time with our families.

The Relief For Washers website should be up in the very near future as I spoke with the individual that is spearheading that effort yesterday.

Look for a article in Cleaner Times as we are launching this message industry wide.

Spoke to a very reliable source in GA on Monday and it was mentioned that the water situation in the South East is not improving. As a matter of fact, restrictions are getting tighter and tighter.

Donations is what we need.
