PWNC member to be interviewed - Feb 15th, 08, 11:56 AM

William Page of Off Duty Fireman Pressure Washing in Raleigh will be interviewed by a local news station in Raleigh today. William and wife, Cathy have been instrumental in changing regulations regarding the useage of non-potable water for washing. Once prohibited, today marks the first day that power washing companies are able to obtain recycled water from facilities to use for washing.

The primary purpose of the interview is to make Raleigh and area residents aware that POWER WASHING IS NOT PROHIBITED NOR RESTRICTED TO COMPANIES WHO PROVIDE THEIR OWN WATER. Washing is allowed as long as Raleigh city water is not.

Thank you.

Outstanding effort Celeste for getting the awareness campaign up and running in your area!

I am sure that all of us can now agree that the drought situation/water shortage is a very important topic in our industry. CPW has been instrumental in the region to raise the awareness to local officials.

Thanks Carlos.....but I have been more in the background. Cathy Page and Barb Hatcher have been amazing. I am in awe of these two women and what they have accomplished. They are quite an asset to the PWNC!

I heard about you three . I am certain they have done some wonderful things but I also know that you have been instrumental in keeping this subject matter in the forefront through the region.

This is the type of involvement that we were hoping to get through the Relief For Washers initiative and I am grateful that at least we were able to highlight the water restriction/drought situation for the industry. Many folks like yourself took our lead back in '07 and embarked in a direction that the industry needed to go as it relates to the drought. For that I am thankful.

The RFW approach was logical in theory but difficult in reality. With only $300.00 + in donations we were hampered in all aspects of truly reaching the pinnacle of establishing our presence as it relates to the drought.

Again Celeste, your efforts are note worthy and what you have done has not gone unnoticed by many individuals in the industry. Keep up the good work!

Here's William Page. The PWNC mention was cut from the clip, but just the fact that our industry was presented to the general viewing audience as one that CAN PERFORM OUR JOBS is a tremendous step in the right direction.
