I would be interested in attending if schedules allow. My wife and I are on our way out the door for a 7 day trip to Sweden and Denmark, but I'll check back in once we get there.

The only thing stinking is the weather. It's cold and wet, but we're having a great time. This is the first chance I've had to check out the internet since we left on Monday.

The buildings are amazing here. We also toured a castle from the 1400's yesterday.

It's 5:20 PM here......Time to head out for dinner!

My wife and I absolutely love Montgomery!! We go to Talladega every spring and sometimes fall for the race. we stay in Montgomery and drive up every day.

I wanted to go a day early this year and go to the Sunbrite lunch on Thursday but had stuff for my kids to do that day and couldn't leave.Depending on schedule I'd make that drive to come.I hope you can get it together.

i am in selma and montgomery is the common ground here for most people they have the golf and bars ect people wouls be wanting for extra activities as well as great food ,birmingham is a bit more troublesome to get around in but they have great accomodations as well and some people might want to go to the t$tty bars ,anyway we will soon see i am gonna try to start looking into it more this week.......by the way i love louisana too so let me know when yall got something going on down your way

still looking for ideas ....i would appreciate someone giving me some vendor leads that may help....in other words what vendors fraquent the roundtables in your areas....what other things do you do besides the roundtable meeting its self...thanks in advance

Hey Russ,

Most of the time the vendors are somewhat local and it's good to get them to co-sponsor in some form or another if they're selling something. It's not necessary to have them unless you want them there. There are things that can be demo'ed by specific contractors or you can have a "Best Rig" contest since some like to bring theirs. It can be a totally casual thing too. R/T's are just great to host or attend because you can meet others that maybe you only 'know' from a BBS and you now have a face and real perspective as opposed to interpretations from a BBS. Sometimes they act just as they do online. Sometimes it's a totally different feel about their personalities in person. A good example is Mike Williamson. He's very quiet in person, at least in my experiences. But he will debate the heck out of anything online. There's those that sometimes you think you might not like online (like me for some ) but you meet them and have a new friend by the end of the day. Celeste's husband Roger is always fun to talk to for me. I don't talk to him as much as I wish, but I enjoy it when I do. I wish some were closer geographically, just to be able to hang out with people that do what I do and enjoy talking shop. I'm rambling now, so the point is R/T's can be very freestyle or as formal as you want them to be. I prefer the loose, casual format, but others are into the sit down presentation format. Just keep an open mind about it and remember to find out all the things your guests will need to know like hotel info, directions, etc.
