Generator HP needs

Does anyone know the calculation to calculate hp needs for a generator?

I don't know the figurin' bit, but you could look at any catalogue and discover what is commonly used for the output you wish. Duty cycle is a factor.

Try this. There is a formula on the page where you can fill in the kw you want to power and it will calculate the HP.
