Question Problem w/ Sureflow wiring - Feb 9th, 08, 05:12 PM

Has anyone else had problems with the wiring/contact going into their sureflo. I am on my second one. Both work but after a while I have to have someone else jigling the wire to keep it going. Not a big deal just a pain in the butt. Didn't know if it was a design flaw or something.

I was unaware people still used the Shurflo's ?
Most have switched over to the new Delevans for roof cleaning.

Yes I have had the same problem with my last 2 shurflo pumps. I think I will try soldering the wire to the pump. Has anyone else tried this?

I have replaced many of the microswitches on the ShurFlo pumps. In my opinion, the switch is too small to handle the amperage of the motor. I have started using a 30 amp relay, and use the micro to activate the relay. The relay handles all the amp draw from the motor.

I'm not familiar with a Delevan. I only use the sureflow to apply degreaser on fleetwork. Have never touched a roof but might one day to try out some easy work.
