surface washer

hello all from wisconsin. i recently picked up a mi-t-m 5004 series cold water machine with 20 hp for 900.00 could not pass it up but the problem i am having would like to get surface cleaner but all say max 4000 psi and this machine is 5 gmp and 5000 psi. will they work with this machine?? thanks kevin

The surface machine will work fine with that Powerwasher just put larger GPM tips on the surface machine. For that 5gpm machine you would need two 2.5 tips at around 15 degrees on the surface machine for it to be operating at 5000psi which is to high for it. Maybe around 4.0 tips would work good with the surface machine so the PSI coming out of it will be around 3000psi(Just a guess- there is a chart that can give you a more accurate number). With those larger tips you obviously cant increase the GPM of the machine but since the orafice on those tips is bigger it will bring down the PSI...
