Downstreaming malfunction - Sep 4th, 08, 10:12 PM

Last night while downstreaming chems for some flatwork.the chemical injector stopped sending chems. Its never happend before and i am wondering what it could be.

But to answer your question, try messing with the sucker tube, it may have a chunk of something in there...

tru that hot shot, but there is only one PW dealer where i live about 30mi from me,and im pretty sure there not open at 3am.

yeah, I hear ya man. That sucks. I had a few of those nights this week.

Give Bob at Pressure Tek a call and order a couple of them so something like that doesn't happen again.

There is probably something stuck in there. With the hose out of the chemicals, does it weep water back out of the tube when the machine is running? That is usually a really good sign it is blocked. You can also take the injector apart at the hose barb. Sometimes, if the injector is older, teh bal bearing inthere will get too firmly seated in its seat and needs to be pried loose with a dental pick. If you have an extra, it is probably cheaper and easier to replace it, but it can have a field fix done.
