Smile The Best Way To Apply Apple Sauce? - May 20th, 08, 11:12 AM

Howdy Folks out there in the roof cleaning business! My name is Daniel and I知 Twenty years old. I have been pressure cleaning homes in the Pasco County area of Florida for almost two years. Recently non pressure roof washing has come to my attention as the only effective way to achieve great results with cleaning roofing materials. I have worked with the apple sauce mixture a little bit and so far as I can tell, this is the best solution to use, however I知 having a little trouble getting the application right. so far I致e been using a 20 percent downstream injector with the basic solution as prescribed by apple roof cleaning this method seems way to diluted. I've tried increasing the sh, tsp, and the borax to double. Still down streaming the mix is ineffective so I was considering building my own downstream chemical injector with a bigger nipple for sucking up the chemical in my hose, that way the apple sauce can be applied at a stronger ratio than 20% chemical to 80% water. At any rate I know that there are even simpler methods of applying this solution with other pumps and such. Anyone with advice to offer, your help is greatly appreciated, and if you have any low cost ways of applying this solution efficiently and effectively, please share your ideas so that I may provide an excellent service. I'm sure that I知 not the only person who has hit this stumbling block before, and I think many people could benefit from this information. One other thing!!! Is the borax that is used in apple sauce the same stuff that is used as a laundry additive?

Hello Daniel!
You are a young man, even younger them my Boy.
I hope a great future awaits you in the cleaning industry.

The BEST way to apply Apple Sauce is with a dedicated Chemical Pump.
I suggest the Delevan 5800 from Pressure Tek in Ohio and a spray gun.
It is under 200 dollars.
Then, if financially challenged, get some Dollar Store 5/8 garden hose, no more then 200 feet.
Get you a tank and trailer, make up some nice looking flyers, and you be jamming !
My phone is 813 655 8777 if I can be of help to you.

They really mean it Daniel. I don't know nearly as much as these "seasoned pros" know, but I will cheer you on. Just don't give up!

I use an x-jet to apply my apple sauce mix. I even use 6% SH. Per gal of SH add 2oz of TSP or TSP substitute and 2oz of borax. Cleans before your eyes. Fill your 5er with 4.5 gals of SH, 9oz each of TSP and Borax and apply with x-jet. Works GREAT!

Sure, Sodium Hypochlorite and Water alone will clean.
But TSP added will clean even better, and Borax added will clean a little better still, and last longer.
