Flyers For Roof Cleaning - Headlines That Have Worked
Many of you do not live here in Florida, where roof cleaning is accepted.
Your Flyer must create interest, and sell your services.
The HEADLINE is THE most important part of your Flyer.
You only have a short time to create intrest, or the Flyer gets discarded.
Do NOT put your company name in the headline.
Consider asking a question, or making a bold statement ?
Mallard Systems famous roof cleaning Flyer asks "So, What's Eating YOUR Roof"
We have used headlines like "The Neighbors Will Be Jealous"
or "They will THINK You Got a New Roof"
or "Make Your Neighbors Jealous"
or "Are You REALLY a Good Neighbor"
or "Why are you making your neighbors roof dirty"

This is going to be the FIRST part of a series on Roof Cleaning Flyers.
This thread will stick to headlines only
Then, we will get into text.
Then finally in the CLOSE, where we ASK them to take action.

Sweet! I put something similar to that with a before and after roof pic of a half done roof.I set it as a backround.But thats a good idea. I will try changing the headline. makes sense

This is a good idea, I've always been too plain with my BOLD statement. The one I use is simply......ROOF CLEANING...... I know, it's boring... Just wanting you to know that I get the point to what you're saying.

I always loved the "so whats eating your roof" I also like closes like "hum, I didnt see a yugo in your garage" when customers object to a higher price

Do you know that I can almost recite that flyer from memory, verbatim ?

Plant filaments breaking down your roof like a plant cracking concrete, growing through sidewalks, etc, etc/

Dining on your roof like an all you can eat buffet ?

Gosh, it has been a LONG Time ago AL, over 10 years.
I DID "borrow" some promotional concepts from you guys, and put my own wording on it, mixed in with my own material, if I recall ?
My favorite was the "all you can at buffet" that I changed to "feeding on your roof"
The "filaments breaking through concrete" I thought was a "reach", I changed it to "these tiny filaments wrap around your granules, and expand and contract, urging them to "Let go."
The "urging them to let go" I stole from a ribbed condom package
The "expansion and contraction" I took from an Owens Corning Technical Bulletin.

What I DID do is re write parts of your 5 year warranty, with enough words changed to be legal.
WHY ?
Because back in the day, I was really, REALLY busy.
It took HOURS to sell against it, so I "gave in"
I simply jacked the price, and gave the 5 year plan.

Talk to me sometime OFF these forums, I have come up with a breakthrough warranty idea!

Calling my company Apple was not a "shot at the Duck"
It was simply because my last name starts wiith a T
That placed me in the BOTTOM of Yellow Pages, and did not wanna be there.'
Apple starts with A, and people from new york love the name
