Ok, enough of you asked, so I guess it is time to bring the RCIA back ?
WHAT is the RCIA ?
It stands for Roof Cleaning Institute Of America
It was a school and certification program for roof cleaners I had way back when in 1999.

I could use some opinions, so please visit, and make your suggestions.

Our Primary focus will be the certification/training of Roof Cleaners.
I forsee an online directory of RCIA certified roof cleaners, and artwork for your web sites and advertising.

Do you want to call it the RCIA, or just RCI ?

Maybe we create a poll, and see what everyone thinks ?

What is tuition running these days? Are the degrees stepped? or is it a "certificate" program?

I think a certification program is a great idea, but I think a formal roof cleaning organization/association is even more important. Professional roof cleaners must unite!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does that exclude me?

No ONE Org is gonna PLEASE everyone.

Was everyone PWNA Members ?

NIASE certifies Mechanics, yet they are not united.

In my many years of cleaning roofs, some of us in Tampa "united" in the past.
Many years ago, a meeting was called for "unification", price fixing would be a better name for it.
Several of us "agreed" on fixed prices, until we realized the organizer of this "unification" got us to raise our prices, while he lowered his.
It cost me, and several other roof cleaners, a LOT of money, it taught me a lesson.
The lesson that this is a competitive business.

A well known, recognizable presence that sets the standards in the roof cleaning industry.
