What do you think the upcharge for your insurance would be using a chopper?

We finished the last 3 story building yesterday. However, it rained us out on on Sunday, so the only remaining building is the office/clubhouse which has to be done on a Sunday due to foot traffic below. Overall, things went very well, with very few bumps in the road. As someone said on the job site, this one separated the pw men from the pw kids. It was kind've hairy due to the pitch and wind conditions, but everyone was safe and secure. I'm meeting with the GC on Wednesday to look at another property.

Yesterday we took Chris Cole from Atlas Exteriors (Work2Fish) up on the lift and for a short stroll on the roof (with fall gear). This was his first experience in this kind of environment and just watching him getting on the roof then back to the lift was worth the entire job.

I can say one thing about these guys, They are in a league of their own. I have been on residental roofs before with no problems, but when I was on that roof with Don running circles around me , I felt like a I had 3 adams apples, If you catch my drift. My hat is off to those guys. It was a great experience to see this project from start to finish and hope to be doing these kinda jobs in the near future. Thanks for the oppertunity to learn.

We finished the complex this morning. As previously stated, all that remained was the office/clubhouse. Other than having to wait for the tile to dry after we got there, it all went off without a hitch.

I want to take this opportunity to again publicly thank Pete, Wayne, Chris and all the others that were involved. Staying safe, on schedule and on budget is key, and these guys came through like the pros they are.

Again, safety should always be the first priority. Surround yourself with the best, most qualified people that you can. If you cut corners on this kind of work, you'll regret it. The overhead is larger, but so are the rewards. The bottom line is everyone is safe today and everyone had a very profitable experience.....Never cheap out for the almighty buck and always be safe!

Ok, Pete, how high were they in that 3rd picture? From the angle it looks almost like 500 feet or higher, those cars are like ants, or am I missing something?
