Lots of fish and veggies

Hello all.
Got this small fence that goes around a koi pond full of fish. It has rose bushes and all sorts of plantage next to the fence. This is on a property that I am doing a decent sized wood playground resto and lots of wooden patio furniture.

How would you guys/gals go about doing this fence with minimal plant/fishy damage?

To be honest, it may be cheaper for the customer to replace that fence and have you stain it.

Drape a sheet of plastic over the pond and weight down with stones.
Wash as usual but bring a large paint spray shield for use around the plants growing close to the fence. Wash with a percarb should be sufficient.

Stain/sealer application will be similar but using tarps and pegs to support the weight over fragile plants.
