Throw ya hands in the errr for some IPE - Jun 20th, 08, 04:53 PM

New found joy for what I do every day. IPE IS AWESOME
This was a deck/porch combo that was never stained. Wood was 3.5 years old. Back deck had to be accessed from a ladder but was a nice view

Heres the before pictures:

Being cleaned
Timber clean pro on the back and front. This deck foamed like a beast

I took care of the footprints once I went back over the rail and onto the ladder

Let me know anything you see that I did wrong so Ill know for the future. Thanks to everyone for the help I got in reading the last 5 years worth of IPE threads on here

Job paid in around 3/sq foot, materials included. Took about two hours to clean with the dang ladder access on the back. I wanted it to be perfect so it was about 4 hours to stain. I was waiting for the boards to soak in a bit before wiping and moving to the next section.

Charlie,

Real nice job. After 3 1/2 yrs. of weathering, did the cleaner water look like it was mixed with blood?

You are right, ipe' is awesome. Especially as it is a yearly service! Congrats.

Charlie -

Beautiful work. Gotta be real proud with those results. Who spends the money for Ipe and lets it weather for 3+ years?

Still looking for an Ipe in Indy...

That deck really came out nice - those photos would be perfect for any ad campaign you do for the future. The only reason I use lambswool, Charlie, for the hardwoods - is when I have oversaturated the wood with woodtux and an airless - I pass over the boards with the lambswool to soak up/redistribute the excess.
