The longevity will be about the same on ipe really. We prefer the Warm Honey Gold. There is enough brown tone in the ipe as it is. It will be beautiful.

I like the warm honey as it seems to bring out the colors in the Ipe. where as the brown sugar tends to hide them more as the pigment is darker. you will get a more even look with brown sugar.
If you want to see what the warm honey looks like just wet the ipe. that will give you a close representation of the end result. |

Kind of like Ken's old WoodZotic mix, 50/50 western cedar/brown sugar on ipe'. Also looks good on red mahogany.
