Choosing the right chemicals - Jul 24th, 08, 08:24 PM

Hi Everyone,

Starting to get into the wood care business. We have taken all of the initial steps in terms of equipment, insurance, etc. Now we are getting ready to choose what type of chemicals to go with so we can move ahead with some practice jobs. Initially, I'm thinking of going through the Wolman Certified Contractor process and using their cleaners and sealers. Although the Wolman products look they they are tried and true, they also seem a little pricy. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions in regards to a good route in getting started? Also, any other things I need to consider as a newbie in the business? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Ryan

May want to rethink the whole Wolman's angle. Not highly regarded in my neck of the woods. Their products are overpriced...

You cant get a good price on Wolmans stuff and it comes in small containers

We use the TimberPro line of products at DeckGuide Pro Center © 2004 - G&K Distributors

30 lb pails last for quite a few jobs and are easy to transport and pour or scoop out of.

You may also want to check out HD-80, efc38 and citralic at Wood Deck Cleaning & Sealing Products - ideal for wood siding and log homes or for sale at TheProSealerStore
