pricing help on this one - Aug 10th, 08, 07:18 PM

since i do not do alot of wood work i am going to ask how you would price this job. it's a wooden deck with 400 sq foot. bench seats built in and a touch of lattace. there is a hint of a previous stain and no hint of a sealant. pretty easy to get to also. homeowner wants me to pressure wash and maybe do the staining. the homeowner will pick out and purchase the sealant theirself. do you guys have a general rule of thumb on pricing that i can go by?

thanks,

rando

Do a search - you'll find plenty of info on pricing. Man this industry needs the same sort of book pricing that mechanics have latched onto - this question keeps getting repeated over and over and over again.

Does it have railings
How many steps/how high off the ground?

We dont apply homeowner purchased products either. If it comes out looking terrible the homeowner blames you.

1100-1400 range for me depending on length of benches and square footage of lattice. Materials included
